The VolunTeens program offers an opportunity for young adults (ages 13-19) to experience a professional work environment and develop basic workplace know-how. Summer Volunteers (entering grades 8+)
Earn service hours by assisting during the Summer Reading Program (June 1-August 3). Your primary duty will be to provide friendly service at our volunteer desk, which includes explaining the program to children and their grownups, helping with registration and logging, and promoting a love of reading! You must be able to commit to 9 hours of service during the nine-week program.
One training session is required. More details about training will be available in May.
Teen Advisory Board (TAB) A VolunTEEN Opportunity
Fridays, April 26 & May 31, 5-6 PM Multipurpose Room • Grades 9-12
Do you have an interest in teen services at the Library? Would you like to help plan programs, discuss books that you love, and have fun brainstorming with your peers and Library staff? If so, join us for a TAB meeting and share your ideas. Service points will be awarded for participation. Pizza will be served.
