April 6, 2022, Glenview, IL – The Glenview Public Library announced today a new brand, including a new logo and tagline that communicate the library’s mission to enrich, educate, and inspire a diverse community by connecting people to the world of information and ideas.

The new brand reflects Glenview Public Library as much more than a place for books. From 3D printing to homework help and small business mentoring to pickleball sets, the library helps residents connect, engage, and feel inspired. Whether visiting in person, connecting through partner events, or accessing digital resources online, the library invites everyone to engage in lifelong learning, find a place to belong, and achieve their goals.

“We have so many services at the library and offer something for everyone,” says Library Director Lindsey Dorfman. “ We’re constantly evolving to meet the needs of our community, and we want our brand to reflect where we are today while honoring the past and looking to the future.”

The Innovation Center, founded in 2020, allows new creators and expert designers to tinker in art, engineering, and science in an open-minded and open-ended makerspace. The Genealogy and Local History Room provides the Glenview community with an in-depth look into the past, including family history archives. Expert staff offer historical knowledge and resources unparalleled in the area. The Library of Things makes items – well beyond books – accessible to all. From inflatable backyard movie screens to tablets, board games to Mario Kart, knitting looms to stud finders, residents can borrow items for entertainment, hobbies, and projects.

Friendly, inclusive, and welcoming, Glenview Public Library encourages a vibrant exchange of ideas through its many services.
