Battle of the Books is back for our 45th year! Here are the sixteen stupendous stories on the 2026 BOB Book List - Happy Reading!
Important Battle of the Books Dates:
- Registration: November 17-December 19
- Coach Orientation on Zoom (mandatory for coaches): Monday, January 12, 6:30-7:30 PM
- Team Spirit Activity: Monday, January 26 or Thursday, January 29, 4:30-7:30 PM, drop in
- Qualification Battle online: Monday, February 9, 6:30-8:15 PM
- Final Battle (Top Teams) at GPL: Friday, February 20, 6:30-8:15 PM
- BOB 2026 Celebration of Readers at Attea Middle School: Thursday, February 26, 6:30-8 PM

Honor Roll
The Battle of the Books Honor Roll tradition, established in 1981, proudly recognizes the top-performing teams by adding their names to this prestigious list. Historically, the top five scoring teams have been honored in this way. In 2024, the program underwent exciting updates, continuing its legacy as a beloved winter activity for 4th and 5th graders across the Glenview Community.
