The Used Book Store is re-opening on Monday, April 19, with temporary hours based on volunteer availability, and all books will be ½ price through Wednesday, April 21. Donations will be accepted but limited to 2 boxes or 3 bags of materials. Re-opening is dependent on COVID-19 restrictions, and capacity in the Used Book Store will be limited to 4 people at a time.
The Used Book Store is also looking for volunteers. Volunteer applications are available at the Used Book Store entrance or online below.
In the ongoing effort to support Library programs and special projects, the Friends of the Glenview Library operate a thriving Used Book Store (UBS). Conveniently located in the southwest corner of the Library Lobby, hundreds of donated books and other media are for sale during regular Library hours. A small army of dedicated volunteers sort donations, assist in maintenance of materials, and staff the sales desk. Stop by and browse the well-organized collection and enjoy the quiet reading nook. Guidelines for Donations
Easy drop off at the Used Book Store, located in the southwest corner of the Library Lobby.
Gently used books and media are gratefully accepted, providing they meet the following criteria:
No underlining or highlighting
No mold or water damage
No dog-eared or ripped pages
Please call about reference sets
Magazines may be donated to the Library’s Magazine ‘Exchange Bin.’ Please drop your donation at the Reader Services Desk.
Must be factory recorded
Must include original packaging
Remember, If YOU wouldn’t purchase it, please don’t donate it!
