Youth Services Librarian I, Early Literacy Coordinator (Full-Time)
The Glenview Public Library has a full-time Librarian I opening for an Early Literacy Coordinator in the Youth Services Department and is seeking a creative and enthusiastic librarian with these essential qualities:

Duties include, but are not limited to: assisting children through grade eight and their caregivers with reference, reader advisory, online catalog and computer resources; also involves youth programming with a focus on early literacy and preschool services, and maintaining assigned collection areas.
Schedule: Full-time 37.5 hours per week; must be flexible to cover days, evenings and weekend hours.
Requirements: MLS degree or equivalent from an ALA-accredited institution required. Minimum of one year of experience working with youth in a public library setting or related environment required.
Salary Range: $43,329 – $48,745 (DOQ)

IT Services – Computer Aide (Part-Time)
The Glenview Public Library is looking to hire part-time Computer Aides. Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Acting as a first contact for assisting patrons and staff with technology issues;
• Performing basic care and maintenance of Library computer hardware;
• Assisting in staff and patron training as it relates to Library-provided equipment and services.
Position requires excellent communication, customer service, and computer support skills. The ideal candidate will possess a basic knowledge of technology equipment: Must be able to troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues to resolution. Must be able to collaborate and work well with others. Specific Job Duties, Responsibilities, and Required Skills are posted within the Business Office and are available upon request.
Technical Requirements: Must be familiar with a wide range of technology equipment including computers, wireless mobile devices, operating systems and applications. Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds.
Schedule: A minimum of 14 hours per week; opportunities exist for candidates available to cover weekday afternoons, evening and weekend hours.
Salary Range: Minimum $11.00/hour DOQ.
