COVID 19 Guidelines

Updated January 5, 2022

All in-person library programs have been moved to a virtual format (where possible) or cancelled through the end of January. Cancelled programs may be rescheduled for a later date. We continue to monitor the situation and evaluate the feasibility of returning to in-person programs. In the meantime, please check our online program calendar for the most up-to-date program information or call 847-729-7500.

Updated December 31, 2021

With the increase of COVID 19 cases due to the Omicron variant and Cook County’s recent guidelines, please note the following policies when visiting the Library:

  • Masks must be worn by all visitors ages 2+, regardless of vaccination status, in all areas of the Library, including study rooms.
  • Eating is not allowed in the Library, but covered drinks are permitted.
  • Patrons do not need to show proof of vaccination to enter the building at this time but are strongly encouraged to be vaccinated and, if eligible, boosted.

We continue to evaluate Library services based upon guidance from the Cook County Department of Public Health and Illinois Department of Public Health. Thank you for your patience and support!
