Borrowing Basics
Search for materials, renew items, view holds, and pay fines online with the Library’s online catalog. The catalog is also available en español and with an ADA compliant view. Library card number and password required. When logging into your account, you may need to enter your password in ALL CAPS. Loan Limits & Fines
View our policies for loan periods, borrowing limits, daily and maximum fines, and replacement costs. The Library offers a secure and convenient way to pay your fines and fees online with Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover. Pay online here.
Renewing & Reserving Materials
Most materials can be renewed or reserved at the Circulation Desk, at public computer stations, by phone or online by logging in to MY ACCOUNT on the Library catalog. Log in to your account with your library card number and password. If you haven’t chosen a password, use the default password, the last 4 digits of your phone number. If you don’t know your password or need help with your account, please contact the Circulation Department at 847-729-7500. Staff at any of the Service Desks are also available to help you.
Email & Text Account Notification
Sign up to receive an email or text notice when your materials are due and your hold items are ready for pick up. To register, log in to MY ACCOUNT, then click on your name. In the section called Contact Information and Preferences, choose how you would like to be contacted. If you have questions, please contact the Circulation Department at 847-729-7500.
Drive-Up Services
Make borrowing even easier and take advantage of the Library’s convenient Drive-Up Services. Enter from Prairie Street. Drive up, drop off, pick up, and go!
Interlibrary Loan
Use Interlibrary Loan to get library materials (books, articles, and audiovisual items) from other libraries when they are not available at the Glenview Library. This service follows policies and procedures agreed upon by the cooperating libraries. If you have any questions concerning an existing interlibrary loan, call 847-729-7500 or email the Interlibrary Loan Department.
