obscure and esoteric
a zephyr emerges
from night’s breath
among the ebullient stars
where they were hung
one by one
but i no
longer wait
for i know
the shadow
is present
because
there is an eagle
of the highest acclivity
touching the auroras
with celestial
utterance
and there
is a swift
even below
the lowest abyss
like a lamp of the night
shedding illumination
for the hell underneath
an accruing light
empowers the world
i am allured
to its vocation
it yells out loud
by the placid waters
as vernal winds
brush brittle
against my ragged face
the day goes
to sleep at last
and the night
awakens to its call
