In the ongoing effort to support library programs and special projects, the Friends of the Glenview Library operate a thriving Used Book Store (UBS). Conveniently located in the southwest corner of the Library's lobby, hundreds of donated books and other media are for sale during regular library hours. Stop by and browse our well organized collection and enjoy our quiet reading nook. A small army of dedicated volunteers receive and sort donations, as well as staffing the sales desk.

UBS volunteers also bring paperback books to the train station, as a special service to Glenview commuters. We hope our efforts at the station will help spread the word about the Used Book Store and encourage more Glenview residents to visit.

The UBS also holds seasonal book sales, offering hundreds of titles at even further discounts.

The more unusual and rare titles are sold on the UBS Storefront at Amazon.com. Each of these specially selected books is available for sale and pick up at the Library. You won't need to incur shipping costs and you also receive a 20% discount on the listed Amazon prices when you make your purchases at the Glenview Library.
