My Life in France by Julia Child.
Written with her grandnephew, Julia Child’s infectiously
readable memoir uses years of letters to create a
wonderful narrative about her love affair with the food
and culture of France, as well as an homage to the
warm, loving relationship with her husband, Paul.

Imagined London by Anna Quindlen.
Best-selling author, Anna Quindlen, offers an
entertaining, lively tour of London and its literary
significance, tracking the footsteps of some of her
favorite fictional characters—including those created
by Conan Doyle, Margery Allingham, Charles Dickens,
and other notable British authors.
Friday, July 9 @ 7PM
Brazilian Adventure by Peter Fleming.
Peter Fleming recounts an ill-considered, casually
planned trip through the Matto Grosso of Brazil and
his group’s efforts to determine the fate of the Fawcett
expedition of 1925.

The Geography of Bliss by Eric Weiner.
Part foreign affairs discourse, part humor, and part
twisted self-help guide, this book takes the reader
from America to Iceland to India in search of happiness,
or, in the crabby author’s case, moments of
“un-unhappiness.”
