Teen Scene Welcome

Check out the new teen space, including a theater-style big screen TV. Stay for a special showing of Iron Man 2 ( PG-13/ 124 minutes) and munchies. Hosted by the VolunTEEN Corps. The Teen Scene welcomes high school students ages 14-18.

ACT Prep Test
Saturday, October 16, 12-4 PM
Register by Wednesday, October 13 • Limit 24 participants.
Professional tutors from College Tutors and Nannies will guide you through an ACT practice test. A great way to gain testing experience in a relaxed environment. You will have three hours to complete the test, then all tests will be scored. Bring pencils and a calculator. Grades 9-12.

CandleCraft • Candle Decorating Made Easy
Saturday, October 23, 1-2 PM
Register by Friday, October 15 • Limit: 25 participants
Take a plain candle and add your personal style. A great gift idea or something nice to perk up your room. All supplies will be provided; light refreshments included. Grades 6-12.

Iron Chef Glenview
Saturday, November 6, 1-3 PM
Register by Saturday, October 23 • Limit: 24 competitors
Here’s your chance to be Glenview’s next celebrity chef. The Chairman will welcome you to the Library’s own kitchen “stadium” and surprise you with a secret ingredient. Register as a team of three or sign up as an individual and we’ll place you on a team. Let the cooking begin. Grades 9-12.

Gamer’s Paradise

New this fall—open gaming offered monthly. Play with the Library’s Nintendo Wii, XBOX360, Playstation 3, and game collection or bring your own. Big screens and boomchairs make this a gamer’s paradise. Pizza and pop included; bring a friend or come solo. Grades 6-12.
