CRIS is a not-for-profit organization that provides daily readings of newspapers and periodicals including news stories, sale circulars, and the classified listings for persons with visual or physical disabilities. With the help of volunteers, CRIS broadcasts verbatim readings of many local newspapers, magazines, and special interest programming. A special receiver is available for checkout.
The Galileo Reading System scans and reads printed material out loud. Library use only.
Illuminated stand magnifiers are available in four different magnification strengths (3X, 5X, 8X, and 10X). Available for checkout.
Available at the Reader Services Desk. They provide 2X clear full page viewing, excellent for reading fine print in books, maps and documents. Library use only.
A TTY for patron use is located at the Reader Services Desk. Patrons wanting to make a call to the Library’s TTY may call 847-729-7529.
