The Glenview Public Library has joined with NetLibrary to offer you the chance to listen to eAudiobooks anytime, anywhere.
eAudiobooks are books that have been read aloud and recorded. eAudiobooks are available from notable authors, such as Alexander McCall Smith and Sandra Brown. Collections available include, Children and
young adult titles, Pimsleur Language Series, Popular Fiction, Self Help, Classics and the CEV Holy Bible.
A popular format in many libraries, eAudiobooks allow library users to listen to materials on-the-go. eAudiobooks can be checked out from the library or from a personal computer via the library’s Web site, 24/7. Users may
check out up to 10 eAudiobooks at a time, and they are automatically returned to the library at the end of the checkout period.
As the leading provider of eAudioBooks, NetLibrary offers a growing catalog with new titles being added every day.
To get started, you need to create an account by visiting the netlibrary page. Click on the link in the top right corner that says "Create a free account". Once you have created an account,
you will be able to login anywhere in the world and download audiobooks.
To listen to audiobooks, all you need is any MP3 Player capable of playing
WMA files (EXCEPT ipods!) or Windows Media Player. No special software beyond that is needed. When you download you have the option to download it at
CD quality (which is required if you want to put it on an mp3 player, or just radio quality (to listen on Windows Media Player). There are lots of help screens, FAQs and demos to help you along the way.
