Library Services

Explore some of the services offered at the new Glenview Public Library.

Drive-Up Window
Call in advance to have up to five material requests or your holds ready for convenient curbside pick up. Please allow two hours to process your requests. Contact the Circulation Department at 847-729-7500 to make your requests. For security reasons, no money transactions will take place at the Drive-Up Window.

Drop-Off Book/Slots
In our 24/7 world, you can now drop off your materials any hour of the day or night without leaving your car.
All Drive-Up services are located on the west side of the building, accessed via Prairie Street.

Self-Check Stations
A quick and easy way to check out your materials. The Circulation Staff will be happy to help you if you have questions.

Copy Center
Conveniently located by the self-check stations, one-stop copying for your home, school, or business needs.

Vending Area
You are always welcome to bring a covered beverage to the Library. A new vending area in the Library lobby now offers bottled water, soft drinks, and sport beverages.

Group Tours
If you are interested in booking a group tour of the new Library and getting a behind-the-scenes perspective by a knowledgeable staff member, please call Linda Shepherd, Business Manager, at 847-729-7500, ext. 2112 for details.

Facility Rental
The Glenview Library's public meeting rooms are available for use by nonprofit community groups. Just call the Business Office at 847-729-7500, ext. 2113 to inquire about meeting room options, rates, and policies. One member of your group must be a Glenview Library cardholder to reserve a room.

Study Rooms
WiFi accessible study rooms are available for small groups to collaborate on projects. Stop by the Youth or Reference Services Desks for details.

Public Computing Area
Over 50 public computers are located on the second floor. Free WiFi, the online catalog, and specialized databases can be easily accessed. Equipped with a host of assistive devices, an ADA Tech Room is also located in this area. Computer Aides are available for technology assistance.
