Join us at the Glen Town Center’s Book Market for this Kids Club Special Event! Award winning storyteller Mike Lockett, known for his zany sound effects, will spin some tales like you’ve never heard them before. For families with children age 3-8. No tickets required, just
drop in! ANNOUNCING… a Poetry Contest! Grades 1-8 may submit original poetry beginning March 1st. Deadline for entries is Monday, April 7th. Stop by the Youth Services Department for more details.

DROP-IN BOOK TIME

Drop-in program of books and finger plays for children age 3-5 with a parent or caregiver. No registration, just come to the Youth Services Department!
DROP-IN CHESS CLUB

Volunteer chess instructor Steve Levenson lends his excellent instruction and advice to kids of all ages. Children age 8
and under must be accompanied by an adult. Bring your own chess set if possible! No registration - just drop in!
WRITING WORKSHOP (for grades 3-8)
Saturday, March 8 @ 10-12:30PM
Have you got a fabulous story to tell? Interactive activities focus on beginning, middle, end; character, setting, problem, solution; bringing out the details; choosing just the right word; and more! Discover how to bring a story or report to life with a little imagination, some knowledge of the basics, and a willingness to
experiment. This is a high energy and interactive class--get ready to give storytelling, and then story writing, a try! Register with a GPL card beginning January 15th.
POCKET CIRCUS
Saturday, March 15 @ 2-3PM
The smallest circus in the world! See this energetic two-person show featuring humor, juggling, magic and acrobatics all the way from Argentina. For families.
This program requires FREE tickets which are available one week before the program at the Youth Services Desk with a Glenview Library Card.
ROMP & RHYME (for babies ages 12-24 months, sitting with a caregiver)
March 15 @ 11AM-Noon
Just drop in! Siblings welcome, but stories and activities are directed to the specified age group.
TODDLERTIME (for a 24-36 month old child sitting with an adult)
REGISTRATION begins Saturday, February 9 and ends Friday, February 15.
Parents must show a Glenview Library Card & a picture ID to register their children.
Child MUST BE appropriate age on the date of the first story time session in order to participate in the lottery. Sessions run
February 25 through March 25.
