DROP-IN CHESS CLUB
Friday, April 6 @ 7-8:30 PM
Volunteer chess instructor Steve Levenson lends his excellent instruction and advice to kids of all ages. Children age 8 and under must be accompanied by a parent. Bring your own chess set if possible!
OCEAN ADVENTURES: The Caribbean Sea Expedition
Saturday, April 7 @ 10-11AM
Wayne and Karen Brown are back! Join a marine biologist and a scuba instructor as they take you on a visual tour that launches from the island of Curacao. Learn about the game of survival in this colorful reef community. Come face-to-face with the smallest to largest and most docile to most dangerous reef inhabitants
including stingrays, barracuda, moray eels and sharks. For families.

For kids in grades 4-8 with parent or special adult. A snack will be provided. Please register with GPL card and pick up a copy of the book.

Ben is trekking across the Montana wilderness to share his stories with you! Hear about his books, his life as a writer, and his WILD life with Buffy, a 700 pound black bear. Ben writes exciting adventure stories about kids who have to fight
for what they believe in and sometimes even struggle to stay alive. Participate in some of these great programs BEFORE Ben’s visit. When he gets here you can meet him, ask him questions, buy his books, and get his autograph, too! (No registration

POETRY MONTH CELEBRATION EVENT

Experience poetry brought to life by an energetic performance artist! Bill Buczinsky of A Child’s Voice will perform poems for your enjoyment—funny poems, silly poems and poems to stimulate your senses! And then, he will perform poetry written by the winners of our very own Poetry Contest! Help
us celebrate poetry, for ages 3 to 103! Tickets will be available one week prior to the event.
