The Friends of the Glenview Library warmly invite you to a special luncheon program, Friday, October 24, 12 PM. Nature creates in a most unusual way, and the pearl has a unique history. This gem has inspired the discovery of continents, caused fortunes to be lost, and consumed mistresses with jealousy. Kathleen M. Kamal, Professor of Metalworking and Jewelry Design, College of DuPage, will explore the pearl’s illustrious history. $20 per person; luncheon included. Advance, pre-paid reservations required for this program. For questions or to make a reservation, call 847-724-7784.
