TEACHER COLLECTION
We currently house numerous materials for teachers in the non-fiction section under j372. See a librarian for assistance.
ISAT REVIEW COLLECTION
The library currently has Illinois Standards Achievement Test review books for Math and Reading for grades 3-8 in the reference collection.
KIDS’ DATABASES
Search magazines, newspapers, encyclopedias, and other science and history sources online. Live Homework Help offers FREE online tutoring for students in 4th grade
and up. Connect using your Glenview library card.
PRESCHOOL KITS
Appropriate for ages 3-7, the library offers 40 themed kits for loan. These popular boxed collections contain 4-6 books, a video or filmstrip, and a puppet or teaching prop.
TOY AND GAME COLLECTION
The library has a sizeable collection of toys and games that circulate for 1 week. Thanks to a generous donation from the Friends of the Library, we have recently added LeapFrog® games and consoles.
USED BOOK SALE
The Friends of the Library group currently maintains an ongoing book sale on the top floor of the library. Quality books for all ages are available for sale during library hours.
STUDY SPACE
The library offers 1 private room for studying and/or group work. Reserve the room with your library card downstairs in the Adult Services Periodicals Department.

From Labor Day to Memorial Day students ages 2 through 12 can earn badges by reading books at home and recording them in a log. Ask at the Youth Services Desk to sign-up.

Illinois H.O.U.S.E.
H.O.U.S.E., Home Oriented Unique Schooling Experience, is a non-sectarian Illinois group that provides support for homeschooling families.
Evanston Home Educators
This Evanston-based group is a member of Illinois H.O.U.S.E. and meets monthly to discuss homeschooling issues.
Illinois Home Education
Maintained by an Illinois family, this comprehensive website features Illinois laws pertaining to homeschooling and links to local and national resources.
Johnsburg Public Library
In 2001 the Johnsburg Public Library in Johnsburg, IL received a $55,000 grant to establish a Homeschool Resource Center. All materials (books, curriculum resources, games, and equipment) can be checked out
by anyone with a valid Illinois library card.
