Microfilm
The library owns 54 rolls of microfilm related to Glenview and Cook County family history from 1790 to 1900, which is
kept in the Reference Room. There is also microfilm of back issues of Glenview newspapers in the Magazine Room.
Lundberg Collection
A special collection of more than 300 books, periodicals, original
genealogies, local histories and microfilms donated to the library by Mrs. Gertrude Lundberg and her family,
who were professional genealogists. This material is kept in a locked case. In order to use it, patrons need
to leave a library card or ID with the librarian. To see a list of titles and call numbers in the Lundberg

Located in the Reference Room, the Glenview History File contains clippings
from local newspapers, magazines, brochures, pamphlets, etc. arranged in folders by broad subject headings.

The bulletin board next to the Lundberg Collection displays events
of interest on the subject of genealogy.
Genealogy Drawer
The Genealogy Drawer in the Reference Room which contains catalogs,
master copies of blank forms, conference and convention flyers, and other related material of interest to
genealogy patrons.
Internet Workshops
The library offers hands-on computer workshops to help patrons use the
library’s genealogy databases. One-on-one tutorials are also available.
