Genealogy books are classified in 929.1; family genealogies will be in 929.2; regional and ethnic genealogy books will be in 929.3; books on names are in 929.4; and other miscellaneous topics related to the history of families, groups, and nations complete the rest of the 929 numbers.

Searching the Catalog
To find books about a particular country, use "Quick Search" and enter the country name and the word "genealogy." For example, "England" and "Genealogy".

The subject heading “Genealogy” is subdivided into more than 90 categories.
