We’re moving and you’re moving with us!
The Glenview Public Library will close from
Sunday, September 5–Friday, October 8
for the transition to the new 85,000 square
foot facility.
While the Library is closed, Glenview Library
patrons will be welcomed at neighboring
libraries for basic services. For more complete
patron services, visit a CCS consortium
library. Convenient CCS public libraries are
located in Des Plaines, Evanston, Glencoe,
Lake Forest, Lincolnwood, Niles, Northbrook,
Park Ridge, Prospect Heights, Wilmette, and
Winnetka/Northfield. All that is required is
your valid Glenview Library card and personal
identification.
Holds cannot be placed at the Glenview Library
through October 19. Holds may be placed
through any CCS library during the transition.
Overdue notices are generated by an off-site
computer system and will continue to be sent
while the Library is closed. Overdue materials
can be returned to any CCS library.
Online services, including renewals and databases currently accessed with your
Glenview Library card, will be available
remotely during transition. Your library card
will continue to have great value during the
transition period.
Book and AV drops at the back of the building
will be open for patron convenience while the
Library is closed. Front door book drops will
not be available after the Library closes.
Book drops will move to the cul-de-sac on
Prairie Street, immediately north of the new
Library facility, when demolition of the current
building begins. Date to be determined.
Library staff will not be directly accessible by
phone or e-mail during the transition period.
Online registration is available for many fall
programs. Registering online during the transition period
is recommended.
Thank you for your patience during
the transition period. We look forward to
warmly welcoming you back to the new
Glenview Public Library on October 9.
